SEN Teaching Assistant

£13.68 - £16 per hour (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role
This large, two-form entry school are looking to appoint a nurturing and passionate Teaching Assistant to support a child in year 3 who has an EHCP in place for SEMH needs and Autism. The role will be working Mon-Fri, 08:30am-3:30pm, and will start in September 2025. The school are looking for a strong teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism.
You will be part of a key team around the individual children in order to maintain consistent support, communication and updated support plans. You will also have additional responsibilities around the school as part of your role. This role can be challenging, but rewarding at the same time. You will truly make a difference in a young persons growth and development in school.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
1. Experience of working with primary school aged children
2. Experience working with children with SEND on a 1-1 basis
3. A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
4. An ability to work as part of a team
5. Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
