Key Accountabilities: Co-ordination of all depot activities ensuring the smooth running of depotSupporting efficient dispatch of all routes and products to customers on a daily basisCoaching and motivating members of the delivery teamAnalysing the performance of drivers by accompanying them on their routesEnsuring delivery procedures and policies are adhered to at all timesEffectively liaising with sales, transport, and operation departments to resolve all issues in a timely mannerEnsuring equipment breakdown and repairs are minimised and reportedSupporting shift manager in ensuring that company vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned and safely operated to reduce accidents and enhance the company brandInvolved in identifying, coordinating training as appropriate to meet driver needsEnsuring the premises are maintained to the highest standardsSupporting Security and Health & Safety Procedures relevant to siteLeading by example and applying company policy and procedures in a fair, consistent and unbiased mannerSupporting absence management, investigation and disciplinariesOffice Admin responsibilities Requirements:Experience in a relevant supervisory role in a high volume, technology driven, time sensitive distribution operationExperience within the Food distribution industry is advantageousMust possess a full Drivers LicenceCompetent in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and WordGood understanding of the Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Work Time Directive etc.)Ability to influence a team to deliver the highest standards of service Ability to plan and organise your own and your teams work activities in a safe, efficient and effective mannerAbility to analyse, interpret and explain and present relevant business dataFluent English - reading and writingStrong knowledge of the surrounding geographical areaFlexible approach to working hours Core Competencies Understanding Your Customers - acts as a role model in personal approach to internal and external customer goals.
