Consultant Radiologist (Urology & DSD/CCG)

This is a substantive Consultant Radiologist post in Urological and Differences of Sex Development/Complex Congenital Gynaecological (DSD/CCG) Radiology at University College London Hospitals. The post‑holder must have subspecialty experience in uro and gynae imaging, including DSD/CCG imaging, as well as general/oncology cross‑sectional radiology.
The successful appointee will work with a team of consultants specialising in Urological and Gynaecological radiology and will provide the sole radiology support to the DSD/CCG team. There are extensive opportunities for academic collaboration with University College London and its medical school.
The post is less‑than full‑time, with 5 sessions per week of direct clinical care and 1 session of SPA. The role involves reporting a wide range of urological and gynaecological scans while supporting wider general radiological services in the department.
Responsibilities
* Perform all aspects of urological and gynaecological imaging.
* Provide the sole radiology support to the DSD/CCG gynaecology team.
* Develop these services under the guidance of the clinical leads.
* Participate in teaching and training.
* Participate in audit.
* Contribute to clinical research.
* Report a wide range of urological and gynaecological scans.
* Support general radiology services in the department.
* Participate fully in specialist MDTs including Uro Onc, Gynae Onc, and DSD/CCG.
* Provide specialist ultrasound, treatment planning and fluoroscopy services.
* Take part in the low‑intensity, non‑resident general radiology on‑call rota.
Qualifications
* Eligible for full GMC registration by date of appointment and entry on the specialist register, or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of AAC.
* At least one year of recognised sub‑specialty training in Urological and Gynaecological Radiology.
* Demonstrate specialist expertise in urological and gynaecological radiology.
* Diagnostic and MDT experience in DSD/CCG conditions.
* Broad reporting ability in acute and general diagnostic imaging.
* General oncology reporting skills.
* Ability to communicate with clarity and intelligently in written and spoken English; build rapport, listen and negotiate with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses, and other agencies.
* Disclosure and Barring Service check required under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Salary
£109,725 to £145,478 per annum + London weighting (+on‑call Cat B 1%), pro‑ra.
