Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Carers to provide high-quality in-home care to clients within their own residences. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, and senior support, with a strong focus on promoting independence and well-being. Duties
* Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Support with medication administration in accordance with prescribed plans
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
* Provide companionship and emotional support to minimise feelings of loneliness
* Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Support clients with specialised needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
* Manage behaviour effectively and employ behaviour management techniques when necessary
* Respond promptly to emergency situations, including administering first aid if needed
* Document care provided accurately and report any changes in health or behaviour to relevant professionals
Skills
* Proven experience in home care, nursing home, or assisted living environments
* Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices
* Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards vulnerable individuals
* Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility support
* Excellent organisational skills for meal preparation and medication management
* First aid certification is desirable but not essential; willingness to undertake training is expected
* Valid driving licence for transportation duties is advantageous
* Good communication skills and the ability to manage behavioural challenges effectively
* Childcare experience or skills are considered a plus for caring for younger clients or family members within the household
Mandatory - UK Driver License and Medicine Administration Training
