The Continuous Improvement Coordinator will support the Continuous Improvement Lead to deliver and embed organisation-wide improvement initiatives using established methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated, Continuous Improvement Coordinator, who can demonstrate strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with a natural drive to solve problems, optimise processes and elevate performance standards. They will bring to the role experience in the application of process control and system design principles. The ideal candidate will have a 'can do' attitude, a natural curiosity for how things work, a passion for making things better, and is not afraid to 'think big' and be a 'change-maker'.
Project Planning and Management
* Assist the Continuous Improvement Lead to implement and embed business improvement, with a focus on meaningful lasting change, across technology, people and processes
* Facilitate the planning and execution of Continuous Improvement projects, in line with agreed evidence-based recommendations across clinical and non-clinical functions
* Track and manage the progress of action plans to ensure improvement projects are achieved within expected timeframes, while considering cross-department collaboration
Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving
* Apply working knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles, such as Lean, root cause analysis, Kaizen and other methodologies in day-to-day project delivery
* Maintain a strong focus on delivering actionable results while ensuring Improvement initiatives are measurable and intentional
* Proactively identify and work with others to resolve issues that may arise during project implementation phases
* Collaborate with Continuous Improvement Lead and department colleagues to discover and co-develop creative, effective solutions to meet stakeholders needs
Monitoring and Evaluation
* Conduct follow-up assessments of improvement initiative outcomes and benefits analysis to ensure processes meet organisational goals and function as intended
* Review performance data to identify where adjustments are needed to stay on track or enhance impact of Continuous Improvement initiatives
* Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements and best practice frameworks, wherever applicable
Communication Skills
* Build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation to gain trust and influence positive change
* Demonstrate exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills to reach win-win outcomes
* Bring fresh thinking and a critical eye, acting as a positive disrupter who advocates for meaningful change and challenges the status quo in pursuit of Continuous Improvement.
* Keep stakeholders informed on progress, achievements, and areas for escalation
Training, Development and Culture
* Work in conjunction with the Continuous Improvement Lead to Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence at all levels of the organisation
* Contribute to the development and delivery of training or workshops that embed continuous improvement thinking and practical tools across front-line teams
Documentation and Reporting
* Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and key milestones, ensuring adherence to plan
* Produce clear, concise reports on project status, outcomes, risks and opportunities identified for further improvements
* Ensure all project documentation is complete and up to date
Qualifications and Experience:
* Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles and practices (essential)
* Experience in project management and proficient in project management tools (essential)
* Positive outlook and an ability to work well under pressure (essential)
* A desire to succeed within a data driven focussed environment working to realistic commercial objectives to ensure we deliver a quality service (essential)
