We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join a key main contractor in Kent, producing accurate, competitive cost estimates for exciting projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, care and education.
Duties and responsibilities within the role include:
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
* Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to secure competitive pricing.
* Works closely with the Design Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Contracts Managers to ensure accurate cost planning.
* Assemble cost plans from concept through tender to handover to the Project Surveyors.
* Monitor industry trends, pricing and supply chain factors which could impact project costs.
Who are we looking for?
* Proven experience as a Estimator in main/principal contractor construction on single stage and two stage tenders.
* Experienced in delivering projects in a relevant sector i.e. education, care and commercial
* An Estimator with a working knowledge of NRM2 and SMM7.
* Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Confident managing multiple tenders.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* HND or Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or a related field.
