Role Overview
H & J Martin Limited is a long-established Facilities Management company based in Blanchardstown Dublin that specialises in managing the assets and infrastructure of buildings in multiple sectors, due to successful organic growth over the past number of years we have built a strong brand and client base from which we want to grow and develop. We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the growing team and to help build for the future.
The Business Development Manager role will primarily work within the H & J Martin Facilities Management business in the Republic of Ireland with the main focus of developing and implementing a strategic business development plan in order to continue on the success of sustainable growth within the region.
What you'll do
Help to develop and grow an existing and very well-established Facilities Management business in ROI to be a market leader in excellence in delivering facilities maintenance in a socially and environmentally sustainable way of working.
1. Develop a strategic business development plan with the H & J Martin ROI Regional Manager and Managing Director to identify specific sectors in which to develop in line with Business sustainable growth plans.
2. Identify key areas of potential market share gain in the Facilities Management sector.
3. Build and maintain key industry relationships within the Facilities Management sector in line with short-, medium- and long-term sustainable growth plans.
4. Identify and implement as part of the strategic business development plan a pipeline of opportunities to secure future works.
5. Increase and develop local brand awareness.
6. Network with key stakeholders to gain key leads in the Facilities management sector.
7. Achieving annual turnover targets based on new clients.
8. Identify innovations to enhance the business profile and create new business streams.
What you'll bring
As a Business Development Manager, your main skills and experience will include:
9. Enthusiasm and ability to engage with all internal and external stakeholders.
10. Proven track record in strategic business development within the facilities management sector.
11. Excellent organisational skills, goal setting and achievement.
12. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software
13. Ability to prepare and deliver internal and external presentations.
14. Ability to adapt communication skills in order to capture specific audiences.
15. Ability to promote brand awareness and communicate the company’s purpose, vision and values.
16. Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner.
17. Effective planning and ability to compile monthly and annual reports.
