Bramblys Grange is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Medical Administrator to work in the friendly admin team at Bramblys Grange.
We are a thriving & expanding training practice developing our services within Basingstoke. You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of data inputting, administrative duties, and providing support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties include, but are not limited to, read coding information into patients' clinical records from correspondence from other care providers and sources on the practice clinical system, adhering to policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for read-coding data on EMIS Web into patient records. You will also scan and input documentation to health records as required. Answering incoming calls and contacting patients to arrange appointments requested by the GP are key tasks, requiring a good telephone manner. Experience in conflict resolution and handling difficult situations is beneficial. Candidates should display empathy and compassion. Strong written, oral, and IT skills are essential.

Job responsibilities
* Accurately read-code data on EMIS Web into the patient record
* File and store records appropriately
* Photocopy documentation as needed
* Process all incoming emails and mail promptly
* Scan patient documentation and attach scanned documents to health records
* Input data into patient healthcare records
* Answer incoming calls, transfer calls, or handle requests professionally
* Perform system searches as requested
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace
* Support clinical staff with administrative tasks
* Ensure data security at all times
* Assist with troubleshooting when needed
* Receive and import new patient records electronically
* Process patient access applications and guide staff on requirements
* Code results and upload data as needed
* Handle ambulance requests, both urgent and non-urgent
* Update and manage the practice website
* Complete requests via the website dashboard
* Manage enquiries effectively
* Process referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS)
* Type letters, reports, and related documentation
* Liaise with external agencies, such as hospitals and community services, to ensure efficient referral processing

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
