Summary of Role
You will lead the main contract sales team based at our Birmingham office, driving forward large and prestigious contracts, varying in scale and complexity, primarily in the retail, manufacturing, commercial and warehousing sectors. You will maintain our high quality ‘people’ focused approach to delivering excellence in the sprinkler industry. You will also forge new relationships with customers/clients further developing our regional sales ambitions.
What you will be doing
* Leading a team of 5 experienced sales and estimating professionals.
* Leading and developing the team including taking on apprentices and bringing them through as the next generation of Sprinkler sales/Estimators.
* You will take overall responsibility for owning the existing customer base working with existing customer base within your designated region, and for growing the pipeline of opportunities from existing and new customers.
* Prioritise incoming and existing opportunities delegating opportunities to your sales team to develop proposals.
* Identify appropriate solutions for customer based on requirements/specifications and create proposals for presentation.
* Take the lead in proposal meetings with customers to present their proposals seeking feedback through this process.
