We are seeking a all rounded HEAD CHEF to join & head up our enthusiastic Kitchen team... A Gastro pub, big on fish and only using the freshest, local & wonderful ingredients to create dishes that our chefs & customers will love.. Free rein over the kitchen to mentor staff, implement rotas, compile menus, food styling and creating a working space that is both positive and a pleasure to work in... Responsibilities
* Lead the team in food preparation and cooking, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
* Develop and design menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere while promoting professional development.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor kitchen performance, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance efficiency.
Experience
* Proven supervisory experience in a kitchen environment, with demonstrated leadership skills.
* Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is required.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with staff and management.
