Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that all processes comply with legal and regulatory standards. Your focus on patient care and medication administration will contribute significantly to the health and wellbeing of our patients.
Duties
* Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.
* Assist pharmacists in providing medication administration and patient care services.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
* Provide information to patients regarding their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications as required.
* Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and protocols.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care.
* Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently when required.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for this role.
