Who are we?
Formed in 2003 and based in Hertford, ITS Digital provides IT support to customers ranging from home and business to the NHS. Our close working team of engineers and support staff focus on end-user support, both on customer sites and remotely. We have evolved our working processes over many years to provide the best and most efficient service we can, whilst still creating great customer relationships along the way. We have a very low staff turnover and support our employees wherever possible, helping to foster a positive working environment.
Role Overview:
* This is an in-office role suited to a Server Support Specialist who thrives in a hands-on environment. You will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of server infrastructure across our client base. You will work closely with our 1st and 2nd line support teams, taking ownership of server issues and providing technical leadership for server-related projects.
Server Infrastructure Support:
* Server Hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
* Provisioning and configuration of new server hardware
* Building, maintaining, and updating server images
* Involved with the hardware upgrade process
* Managing Windows Server Updates
* Initiating drive replacements (including backup and internet-facing servers)
Active Directory & Domain Management:
* Domain and Forest maintenance and troubleshooting
* Group Policy design, deployment, and management
DFS & File Server Management:
* Deployment and ongoing maintenance of DFS and file servers
* Management and monitoring of DFS replication
General Duties:
* Act as escalation point for server-related issues from the 1st and 2nd line support teams
* Diagnose and resolve server issues remotely
* Be involved with server deployments, upgrades, and migrations
* Work with 3rd party software suppliers to support server-related integrations and interactions

Hours of work
* The support desk covers the hours of 8.00am to 6.30pm. Hours of work are negotiable on the following times:
* 8.00am – 4.30pm
* 9.00am – 5.30pm
The initial working times are 9am - 5.30pm with an option to change after the probation period.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
