As a Retail Manager, you'll play a key role in making our retail operations a success You'll put our beneficiaries at the heart of everything you do, sell quality pre-loved items at affordable prices, and help champion sustainability in your community.
Job Details:
* Location: St Peter & St James Burgess Hill Fashion and Furniture Shop
* Salary: £26,800 - £27,600 per annum
* Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, typically 5 days per week on a changing rota basis
* Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

In this key role, you will:
* Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide an exceptional experience for all customers
* Use your visual merchandising skills to keep our shop beautifully organised and stocked
* Lead, motivate and inspire a fantastic team of dedicated staff and volunteers
* Drive sales and meet targets to maximise income for the hospice
* Deliver excellent customer service, leaving customers with a lasting positive impression
You'll thrive in this role if you:
* Have retail management experience (charity or commercial), ideally with team leadership responsibility
* Understand how to merchandise a store to attract customers and drive sales
* Are customer-focused, approachable, and confident dealing with a wide range of people
* Can manage competing priorities, stay organised, and adapt quickly when needed
* Are proactive, self-motivated, and happy to work independently or with minimal support
* Believe in the power of community and the importance of sustainable, ethical retail
