We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing cost estimates for various projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the estimation process. Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
Hours: Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 5:00pm and Fridays 9:00am – 4:00pm (36.5 hours per week)

Training providedKey Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare estimates
Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates
Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender documents
Monitor and report on project costs and progress
Develop an understanding of systems, products, and services in order to quote projects accurately
Liaising with suppliers to obtain prices
Contacting clients to discuss enquiries and quotations where required
Logging enquiries on an Excel database, maintaining and updating when necessary
Estimating small enquiries
Reading and understanding drawings
Document preparation, job raising and filing
Downloading enquiries and ascertaining project flooring requirements
Utilising Callidus measuring softwareThe ideal Candidate:

GCSE English, Maths, and Information Technology equivalent to grade C and above
