About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It impacts every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories. Joining HC-One gives you a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Note: We have only 16-hour contracts available.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning, you'll do so with kindness and attention to detail.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with experience, though training will be provided. You should have excellent time management and organizational skills, along with a positive attitude and natural ability to communicate effectively—listening as well as giving instructions. Always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues if necessary.
We offer full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with qualifications
* GP online service for you and your children under 16
* Support from experienced colleagues
* Colleague discounts at over 1600 high street stores
* Employee Assistance Programme for physical, mental, and financial support
* Recognition schemes like ‘Kindness in Care’ and Long Service Awards
* Refer a friend scheme up to £1000 per successful referral
We are committed to inclusivity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds to reflect the communities we serve. We aim to provide a smooth onboarding process, from job offer to first day.
