Senior Care Assistant at Bupa
Cottingley Hall care home – Bradford Road, Bingley, BD16 1TX
Salary £12.40 – £14.01 per hour, depending on experience • Permanent part time position

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead a team of Care Assistants that deliver high quality, personal care to residents, while inspiring, developing and nurturing colleagues to be their best every day. You will be trained on all aspects of digital care and supported with the clinical and social care developments needed to provide excellent care.
You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By
* Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
* Supporting clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
* Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers
* Training and supervision of new staff to ensure they feel welcomed and supported
* Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
* Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
* You’ll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care. We’re happy to support you in completing your qualification if needed.
* You’re motivated, positive, with great interpersonal skills, and you enjoy working in a close-knit team. You’ll be pivotal in running a unit and aiding with clinical duties for the home.
* You have previous experience in the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges, and you have a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives with kindness, personalised support and dignity.
