Overview
Lead Clinical Pharmacist – Education and Training role at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. Based at Ipswich Hospital with cross-site collaboration with Colchester pharmacy colleagues to ensure consistency of practice and a uniform approach to the development of staff. Lead on all education and training activities on the Ipswich site and any other relevant cross-site education and training activities within the Pharmacy department at ESNEFT. The department supports an Education and Training agenda, mentoring and development opportunities, and a digital transformation project with Epic.
Responsibilities
* Develop, deliver and maintain locally-based education and training schemes for all grades of pharmacist and clinical pharmacy technician staff.
* Lead ongoing mentoring and coaching of junior pharmacists and student pharmacists during Clinical Diploma and Foundation Trainee studies.
* Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the optimal and cost-effective use of medicines at ward level; minimise drug wastage accordingly.
* Provide an advanced level clinical pharmacy service at ward level in line with the pharmacy Key Performance Indicators and agreed clinical standards.
* Lead on all education and training activities on the Ipswich site and any other relevant cross-site education and training activities within the Pharmacy department at ESNEFT.
Location
Based at Ipswich Hospital; cross-site collaboration with Colchester pharmacy colleagues is essential.
