Salary: £109,725 – £145,478 per annum.
Contract: Substantive, Full‑time.
On‑call Frequency: 1:14; Category A – 3% on‑call supplement.
Working Pattern: 10 Planned Activities (7.5:2.5)
Job Summary: This replacement, substantive, full‑time post is a key part of the Thanet CAMHS Community Team. You will work alongside other consultants and a CAMHS Specialty Doctor, influencing care models and treatment in the community.
Responsibilities:
* Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Thanet.
* Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
* Work directly with young people and families, liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
* Participate in the on‑call rota (frequency 1:14, with 3% basic salary Category A on‑call supplement).
* Support peers and team leader, being an effective team member while allowing initiative.
* Collaborate with other health and social professionals and agencies.
* Work alongside another CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist and a Specialty Doctor.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements:
* Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
* CCT or equivalent.
* Section 12 approval or eligibility.
* Approved Clinician status or eligibility.
* Inclusion in the Specialist Register, or eligibility for inclusion or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
