Socrates Educa International School is located in Salou south of Barcelona, with potential to welcome up to 800 students, is inclusive and offers a complete education to students aged 1 to 18+. This is the first school to run with the Socrates Educa model, an innovative pedagogical system which is likely to be implemented in other new schools in the future.
It is a popular and happy English /Spanish / Catalan trilingual school, offering Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, National and International Baccalaureate (IB) as well as the US High School Dual Diploma, with an international emphasis, and also Chinese as a foreign language. Our curriculum is based on the local curriculum but is influenced by teachers from around the world and taught mainly in English.

We are looking for a Secondary teacher with experience in national and International Baccalaureate for the next academic year, starting in September 2026.
All successful candidates should be team players, innovative, creative, able to differentiate in the classroom, bring language to life and motivated by the opportunity to work in a multilingual environment. International experience is essential and IB experience is a plus. Being a tutor is also part of the role. Knowledge of Catalan and/or Spanish curriculum is also an advantage.
Essential for all candidates:
Teacher of Catalan, Spanish, English, or Chinese who loves their subject and can inspire students of all abilities in the classroom. IB experience, possibly able to offer another subject.
Good ICT skills (familiar with Mac/ iPad, knowledge of educational apps).
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or equivalent.
Desirable:
Secondary teacher for IB and Bachillerato / ESO, ages 12-18.
IB trained and experienced or prepared to undergo the training.
Very useful:
UCAS / D of E experience .
Familiarity with Spanish ESO / Bachillerato curriculum.
Knowledge of Spanish, Catalan, English.
