The Role
We are seeking a Process Engineer with strong experience in design, process flow, and P&ID to join our dynamic engineering team. You’ll play a key role in optimising existing processes, supporting new project designs, and ensuring compliance with COMAH regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
* Lead and support process design activities for new and existing plant modifications.
* Conduct hazard studies (HAZOP, LOPA) and ensure alignment with COMAH safety requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and EHS.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.
* Support commissioning and troubleshooting of new equipment and systems.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
* Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
* Proven experience in a COMAH-regulated chemical manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of process design, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
* Familiarity with process safety and regulatory compliance.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Proficient in engineering software (e.g., Aspen, AutoCAD, or similar).
