About the Role As Teacher of Drama, you will teach across KS3–KS5, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that develop performance ability, creativity, collaboration and reflective thinking. Your teaching will support pupils to: Build secure understanding of drama techniques, performance styles and theatrical conventions Develop confidence in performance, rehearsal and creative collaboration Explore texts, character, staging and interpretation with increasing independence Reflect critically on live theatre and their own practical work Prepare effectively for GCSE and A-Level through structured guidance, rehearsal discipline and precise feedback Pupils may study a range of dramatic forms including devised performance, script work, physical theatre, characterisation and theatre evaluation. Lessons are designed to balance creativity with strong structure, helping pupils take artistic risks while building the technical and analytical skills needed for examination success. There may also be opportunities to contribute to productions, clubs, showcases and wider performing arts enrichment across the school.
