Job Description:
Our client, regarded as one of Northern Ireland's leading independent law firms, is seeking a Risk & Compliance Analyst to join its growing centralised Client Lifecycle Management function. This key role supports the firm's compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions regulations through effective client onboarding and offboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate AML onboarding for new clients, including reviewing CDD documentation and conducting client screening (PEPs, Sanctions, Adverse Media).
2. Support risk assessments for clients and matters, ensuring timely file openings.
3. Liaise with internal stakeholders and clients to resolve onboarding queries and gather mandatory information.
4. Conduct Ultimate Beneficial Ownership assessments for complex structures.
5. Review screening results and escalate potential high-risk clients as appropriate.
6. Assist with AML file quality reviews and compliance file closures.
7. Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory and audit purposes.
8. Generate MI reports related to AML client onboarding activity.
9. Contribute to AML-related projects as directed by the Director of Risk and Compliance.
About You:
* Degree-qualified or with equivalent relevant experience.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in legal or financial services sectors.
* Strong understanding of AML, CDD, and client onboarding principles.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, capable of managing time-sensitive tasks.
* Experience with AML onboarding solutions is desirable.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
