Cheshire West and Chester Council is a place where everyone can Thrive – through our core values of Teamwork, Honesty, Respect, Innovation, Value for Money and Empowerment. We currently have x 1 vacancy for a PRS Lettings Officer, who will work closely with our current Lettings Officer; supporting the in-house PRS Lettings Service as it moves into it’s second year of operation. The service strives to remove barriers to accessing PRS properties, by promoting sustainable tenancies - helping support a reduction in homelessness. Key to the Letting’s Officer role is the ability to build strong working relationships with landlords, to secure a wide range of properties that will further increase provision of affordable PRS housing within the Borough. Suitable applicants will then be matched to tenancies, shortlisted to view, and supported during the viewing procedure, seeing the Letting’s Officer working through the process from start to finish. Follow on support is then continued by another team member - the Tenancy Support Officer, who will help to settle the tenant(s) into the property, providing a 12- week safety net of support to both Landlord and Tenant. This is an exciting position that enables the successful candidate to work with both landlords and tenants, providing a first-class bespoke Letting’s offer, that understands both the challenges faced by landlords looking for suitable tenants, and by those seeking a quality home that is affordable. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, good time management, and an ability to navigate challenges are all essential for this role. We are seeking candidates that are proactive and flexible.
