Marks Sattin is delighted to be working with a growing manufacturing business based in Liversedge, currently looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their small but dynamic finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career in a supportive environment, with full study support on offer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
* Review and post monthly accruals and prepayments
* Post month-end journals including depreciation, stock movements, and internal recharges
* Monitor and reconcile inventory, including reporting
* Process supplier invoices, payments, and purchase orders
* Support the maintenance of costing records for raw materials and finished goods
* Process and monitor employee expenses
* Assist with VAT return preparation
* Perform cashbook postings and bank reconciliations
* Produce daily cashflow reporting
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team
About You:
* Part-qualified AAT (or similar) - study support available
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A proactive team player with the ability to work independently
* Ambitious and eager to grow within a fast-paced, evolving business
