This is not finance ops, bookkeeping, or a networking exercise.
If this hire is wrong, the company raises poorly — or not at all.
Responsibilities
* Capital strategy from pre‑seed → seed
* Investor targeting, positioning, and narrative
* Fundraising process, pacing, and leverage
* Knowing when to raise — and when not to
* You control the raise.
Qualifications
* A track record raising capital (startup, VC, angels, family offices, PE)
* Warm investor relationships you can activate
* Strong judgement on valuation and timing
* The confidence to walk away from bad money
* Credibility in investor rooms
Structure
* Cofounder‑level equity, performance‑aligned.
* Remote‑first. Long‑term alignment only.
* We would rather raise later with the right partner than raise now with the wrong one.
