The Role
Proofpoint is one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity firms globally (Gartner MQ leader for 7 consecutive years), with a unique focus on protecting people and defending data. We have experienced over 70 consecutive quarters of growth. Due to our continued success, we are now seeking a highly motivated Named Account Manager to develop a portfolio of enterprise-scale accounts.
We are looking for a proactive, creative, and tenacious Enterprise Sales Professional to drive new cybersecurity business across multiple vertical markets. This role involves interacting with large-scale enterprises at the ‘C’ level, as well as with technical staff within security and IT organizations.
* Focus on hunting and developing large enterprise accounts (cross-vertical)
* Articulate and promote the company’s value proposition and services to become a trusted advisor within your customer base
* Collaborate with internal resources, including System Engineers, to prepare account strategies
* Work with Systems Engineers to organize and deliver compelling product demonstrations
* Partner with channels to gain access into new accounts
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace
What you bring to the team
* Experienced technology sales professional, with a focus on SaaS and disruptive technologies; cybersecurity experience is a plus
* Proven track record of over-achieving targets, acquiring new logos, and leveraging channel partnerships
* Ability to establish strong relationships at the executive level
* Strong business acumen and ability to act as a trusted client advisor
* Experience closing complex opportunities in the range of $100k – $1m
* Proficiency with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Challenger, TAS, Command of the Message
* Willingness to be coached and diligence in following a proven sales process
* Entrepreneurial self-starter focused on account planning, pipeline generation, and opportunity progression; strategic yet urgent in approach
* Preferably experience with Salesforce
