Registered Nurse
Location: Dursley, Gloucestershire
Salary: £21.27 per hour
Hours: 45 per week (with casual hours available for greater flexibility)
A highly regarded care home in Dursley is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join its team, providing residential, nursing and respite care of the highest standard. This is a rewarding role in which kindness, compassion and professionalism are at the core of everything delivered.
The successful applicant will take responsibility for leading a team of carers, often as the only nurse on shift, ensuring that both clinical and personal care meet the highest standards. They will act as a role model and source of guidance, delivering and regularly reviewing care plans in partnership with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, while liaising effectively with GPs, hospitals, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, guide and inspire a team of carers to deliver excellent person-centred care.
Provide clinical leadership, ensuring medication, treatment and care plans are accurate and followed.
Assess, monitor and re-evaluate care needs, ensuring a holistic approach for each resident.
Liaise confidently with families and external health professionals to maintain high standards of support.
Act as the senior clinician on duty, taking charge of the home when required.
About You:
Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC pin.
Post-registration experience (newly qualified nurses will be considered with support available).
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and willingness to train further in areas including:
Medication administration
Catheterisation
End-of-life care
Syringe drivers
Verification of death
Gastrostomy care
Venepuncture
Tissue viability
Diabetes and epilepsy awareness
Sepsis awareness and management of deterioration
