Stores Controller
Salary – £32,454 - £40,568 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 40 hours per week

As a Stores Controller at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for managing the stores function at our Lostock Energy from Waste facility. You will support the procurement of materials, services and equipment while working closely with Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure the efficient and effective running of the stores, helping to optimise plant performance and availability.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?
•Managing and maintaining stock levels of stores inventory and consumables to ensure availability
•Completing stock checks and producing regular reports
•Raising and managing purchase orders, invoices and supplier relationships
•Ensuring all deliveries, documentation and returns are processed accurately and on time
•Managing PPE stock levels and store organisation
•Supporting outage planning to ensure required materials are available
•Operating equipment such as forklift/pallet trucks where required
•Maintaining accurate records and analysing stock trends
•Supporting the development and use of CMMS systems
•Working closely with internal teams and suppliers to support operational performance
What are we looking for?
•Experience in a stores or stock control environment
•Experience raising orders, invoicing and managing stock records
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
•Understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
•Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
•Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
•Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
•Flexible approach to work and willingness to support business needs
•Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
•Experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
•Familiarity with CMMS systems
•IOSH qualification (or similar)
•Engineering or technical apprenticeship
