Wood are recruiting for Production Technicians on a 12 month fixed term basis on the Equinor Mariner A Platform on a ⅔ rotation.
1. Monitor and control the flow of hydrocarbons from the reservoir to point of export
2. Monitor and record plant conditions, bringing deviations or malfunctions to the attention of the Production Supervisor
3. Prepare process plant and equipment for maintenance by applying specified isolations/venting etc
4. Prior to start-up of any plant or equipment, inspect and confirm suitability to return to normal service
5. Maintain own work area in a safe, clean and tidy condition
6. Carry out process system sampling as required
7. Carry out regular inspections of the installation
8. Minimising downtime and contribute to the achievement of production targets
9. Prepare production reports
10. Perform first line maintenance, identifying and reporting faults
11. Carry out mechanical isolations, gas tests and work-site inspections
12. Carry out emergency duties as required by the OIM / Site Manager
13. Support operational requirements, achieve targets and maintain records as required, thereby minimising backlog and downtime.
14. Maintain and demonstrate ongoing technical competence and skill set to current standards and updates.
Knowledge & Skills:
15. Posses working knowledge working knowledge of plant, process and associated equipment
16. Posses the required competencies to observe, gather and report process data gathering information, perform isolations, diagnose faults with a wide range of plant/process equipment and associated components
17. Have knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and safe working practices, taking into account environmental and sustainability considerations
18. Understand and follow responsibilities with regards to reporting lines and procedures.
19. Understand the preparation and reinstatement requirements in respect of the work area, materials and equipment, and the possible consequences of incorrect actions in these areas
20. As necessary put forward suggestions and develop modification requests to improve plant/equipment efficiency/safety
21. Understand which tools and equipment to use, and when, and follow relevant training, methods and techniques and quality control and safety procedures for their use
22. Understand the types of defects and faults that can occur and what action to take
23. Utilise a range of process digital information, technology and equipment to support work related tasks and to communicate information.
24. Correctly use permitting and authorisation procedures to maintain high levels of plant and personnel safety.
25. Be able to read and interpret relevant P&ID drawings, related specifications and quality standards.
26. Identify defects in plant/process/equipment and assist with remedial activities where required.
27. Awareness of the regulated guidance and organisation requirements for the safe isolations and reinstatement of plant.

Qualifications:
(S)VQ Processing Operations: Hydrocarbons at Level 3 or other relevant apprenticeship, or HNC/D with appropriate experience
