The Opportunity
Reporting to the Country Manager, we’re looking for an experienced, hands-on leader to run our Christchurch depot workshop. You’ll keep operations safe, efficient, and on schedule - while leading a small team that takes real pride in their work.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading a small workshop team to deliver quality repairs and modifications.
* Scheduling and prioritising jobs to meet customer deadlines.
* Surveying and quoting on container repairs and modifications in accordance with SCF policies and procedures.
* Building great relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
* Stepping in on the tools when the team is short or workloads spike.
* Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to the depot business plan.
What we’re looking for
* Proven leadership experience in a workshop, depot, or similar operational environment.
* Excellent communicator who can engage, motivate, and get the best out of a team.
* Forklift, confined space, working at heights, and First Aid qualifications are a bonus - or we’ll train you.
* Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
