Assistant Accountant – VDAC Leeds
Location: Leeds West Yorkshire
As an Assistant Accountant working within our Volume Division Accounting Centre, you will ensure the accurate processing, recording and completion of all accounts information as required.
Your day to day will include:
* Ensuring that all accounting and administrative tasks within the area of responsibility are carried out in line with company procedures.
* Ensuring accurate and complete processing in all accounts matters, with 100% complete and accurate data collection.
* Preparing regular reports as required by Group (e.g. Debtor Reports, Payroll submission etc).
* Completing on-time basis the manufacturer’s monthly composite and assisting in the submission of other relevant information to the manufacturer.
* Completing the monthly submission of the dealership payroll.
* Maintaining appropriate payment procedures operated within agreed timescales.
What we are looking for:
* High levels of numeracy and literacy at a clerical level is essential.
* An accountancy qualification or working towards one.
* A detailed understanding of accounting information such as invoices, credit notes, payment methods, receipts and payment advice notes is desirable.
* Knowledge and understanding of VAT and associated documentation is desirable.
* Motivated by working to targets and under pressure.
