Service Manager
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Manager to lead the Service department within a busy automotive operation. This role is responsible for driving service performance, customer satisfaction and departmental profitability while ensuring compliance with company and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the Service department
* Lead, motivate and develop Service Advisors, Technicians and support staff
* Drive service revenue, labour sales and departmental KPIs
* Ensure outstanding customer experience and high CSI scores
* Oversee workshop productivity, efficiency and capacity planning
* Manage service bookings, workflow and resource allocation
* Handle escalated customer complaints professionally and effectively
* Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, health & safety and audit requirements
* Monitor departmental budgets, costs and performance reports
* Work closely with Parts and Aftersales management to maximise overall aftersales performance
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience as a Service Manager or Senior Service Advisor ready to step up
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent customer service and communication abilities
* Commercial awareness with experience managing KPIs
* Good understanding of workshop operations and service processes
* Confident working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
* Experience in a franchised dealership or high-volume workshop (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
