Role Significance
You will support the Christie Manson & Woods Ltd FCRC team in daily accounting operations and ensure the accurate closing of monthly results across multiple regions including London, Amsterdam, Dubai, and others. Your strong teamwork, motivation, technical skills, and analytical acumen will be key in detecting anomalies and escalating issues appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
1. Post and verify currency treasury journals regularly, as directed by Group Treasury and Finance.
2. Maintain sterling and foreign bank account reconciliations, manually or via automated systems.
3. Manage a portfolio of companies, perform month-end reconciliations, and investigate outstanding balances.
4. Handle bank account queries as the primary contact.
5. Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including FX reconciliations for loans and foreign currency accounts.
6. Prepare intercompany current and loan accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
7. Support month-end processes, post journals, resolve queries, and meet deadlines.
8. Participate in ad-hoc projects.
9. Ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
Additional Activities
1. Arrange and reconcile intercompany loan interest.
2. Assist in preparing AA Packs.
3. Communicate with auditors for year-end reporting.
4. Support half-year and full-year UK reporting requirements.
Candidate Requirements
* Basic accounting knowledge, AAT level 3 or higher.
* Experience managing a portfolio of companies is advantageous.
* Experience with statutory accounts is a plus.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Willingness to learn and understand processes across teams.
* Ability to interact with stakeholders across jurisdictions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* High integrity and compliance awareness.
* Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; familiarity with JDE and Integrity is desirable.
