Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturer, they are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Control Engineer to join their team on a TEMPORARY basis (for 1 month from 02/02/26 to 27/02/26). Salary up to £28.00 per hour (PAYE) / up to £37.00 via Umbrella company) depending on experience. Hours of work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 16:30, and Friday 8:00 to 13:00. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS BEFORE APPLYING: * Level 4 qualification in a relatable Engineering / Manufacturing / Quality subject (HNC or equivalent). * 3 years’ experience working within a quality environment. * Understanding of the standards operations in an assembly & manufacturing environment. * Previous experience within a truck or vehicle manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage. * Understanding of ISO9001 & ISO14001. * Experience in corrective action using problem solving techniques (8d 5 whys, A3). * Competent in interpreting engineering specifications & communicating the requirements. * Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, Control plans and feasibility. * Proficient in the use of measuring equipment (e.g. vernier calliper’s, micrometres). * Proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, SharePoint). * Proficient in APQP activities. * Experience in the interpretation of engineering specifications. * Familiarity with steel pressing, electrical, hydraulic and vac form processes. * Experience in carrying out supplier audits. * Ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK and globally if needed (occasionally). Responsibilities: * Supplier assessment – completing both new and existing supplier assessments and reporting findings. * Control of incoming supplier materials (approval) – working with suppliers to approve both products and processes using recognized techniques * Project support – working with in cross functional teams as the supplier quality representative. * Management of defective materials – assessing defective materials, raising documentation and communicating with the suppliers. * Collate reports related to supplier performance, development and surveillance. * Support development and corrective action resolution activities. * Support new product introduction (NPI) process. * Communicate performance indicators to suppliers, agree on improvement activities and monitor adherence. * Conduct supplier audits. * Processing of PPAP reports and liaising with appropriate departments and suppliers to resolve related issues. * Ensure that non-compliances are managed in a constructive way using recognised quality tools to achieve long term solutions. This role would suit someone who has experience of a Quality role in a manufacturing / engineering environment.
