This is a Modern Apprenticeship role for age 16 - 24 years or 16 - 29 years for disabled or care experienced applicants.

This post is a 2 year Fixed Term position. As per the Fixed Term Contacts Policy - Where individuals with continuous service within the NHS apply for fixed-term contract roles, NSS reserves the right to refuse any such appointment.

The Post:

The Modern Apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to work in the corporate Organisational Development and Learning team (OD&L) within Human Resources in NSS. The OD&L team deliver a portfolio of organisational development (OD) and learning and development (L&D) services to NSS and Public Health Scotland.

The postholder will work across the team providing administrative and project support to enable the team to meet organisational objectives. A key part of the role involves working closely with colleagues, customers and suppliers to manage the end-to-end event booking process.

The team members are based in both Glasgow and Edinburgh so travel between sites is expected and since the pandemic the team have been delivering services through Microsoft Teams. You will engage with our training provider who will support you to work towards your qualification.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will:

* Have a keen interest in organisational learning and development
* Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Have good keyboard skills, and be confident using IT systems
* Be a team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
* Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
* Have a good attention to detail
* Be flexible, reliable, and self-motivated

Location and Working Pattern:

Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.

Currently hybrid working

Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
