The Opportunity
A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join their team in Warrington, Bristol, Leicester, or Newbury. This permanent position offers hybrid working and the chance to work on challenging projects in a highly regulated sector.
We would also welcome applications from these industries: defence, oil and gas, energy, process engineering, and manufacturing.
This role would suit candidates working in these roles: Mechanical Designer, Senior Design Engineer, CAD Designer, Mechanical Draughtsperson, Design Team Leader, Plant Layout Designer, Piping Designer, Mechanical Design Lead, Project Designer, or Engineering Droughting Specialist.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Lead and coordinate design activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Allocate tasks to design team members and check outputs for accuracy and quality.
Provide technical guidance on design methods, tools, and best practices.
Prepare and review engineering drawings and models in line with ISO standards.
Promote collaboration across design and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
HNC/HND or higher in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
Strong experience in detailed design within a regulated environment.
Proficiency in CAD tools and knowledge of engineering drawing standards.
Demonstrable experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams.
