Job Title: Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic with strong capability in engine work and heavy mechanical repairs to join a busy and well-established automotive workshop in Abercynon. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who is confident working on complex mechanical faults and full vehicle repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out engine repairs, rebuilds, diagnostics, and overhauls
* Complete timing belts, cambelts, head gaskets, clutches, and gearbox work
* Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
* Diagnose and repair faults across engines, driveline, steering, and suspension systems
* Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
* Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and safety standards
* Support workshop efficiency by working to time and quality targets
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Automotive Technician
* Strong background in engine diagnostics, repairs, and heavy mechanical work
* Experience with timing belts, clutches, gearboxes, and major components
* Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret fault codes
* Background in garage, dealership, fleet, or commercial workshop environments
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills:
* Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
