A vacancy has arisen within the Support Team of Waste Services. We wish to appoint an Operational Support Officer within the Waste Services Team. To provide a point of contact for our Commercial Waste customers and carry out administrative tasks within a busy administration team. Ensuring consistent and quality service to all internal and external customers both domestic and commercial in relation to waste and recycling and support the wider operational and policy teams within Waste Services. You will be expected to undertake a full range of technical clerical duties including use of spreadsheets, maintenance of database systems, general clerical work, finance related work, dealing with enquiries over the phone and other duties relevant to the service area. You must have previous experience of working within an administration and general financial environment including basic routine tasks using numeracy, accuracy and literacy skills. You should possess good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and work as part of a team. Have experience of manual and electronic information systems and being able to store and retrieve information.
