The role is responsible and accountable for the safety performance, man-management, profitability and development of the company operation assigned to your control. Specifically you will promote and encourage safe working practices and initiatives within the workforce and competently provide operational management and direction to ensure maximum utilisation of resources in the delivery of service level agreements for our customers. The job holder will also demonstrate good leadership at all times and provide guidance, support an direction for all direct reports for the team as a whole. A key aspect of the role will be to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
* To effectively manage the on-plan delivery of the budget for the division both in terms of revenue and expenditure.
* Hold regular business development meetings with General Manager and facilitate discussions with potential business partners in all revenue streams
* At all times ensure safe working practices throughout the operation in compliance with company procedures and HSEQ guidelines.
* Monthly control and reporting of Profit & Loss.
* Ensure the efficient close out of CID documents and Incident Reports.
* To ensure that service delivery is in accordance with contracted scope of work and/or service level agreements.
* Be clearly accountable for ensuring that staff are fully trained and competent in the execution of all tasks.
* Fully support a culture of performance management throughout the division where all people are assessed for competence and appraised on a regular basis.
* Confront issues of performance both in terms of capability and conduct in a timely and effective manner whilst enlisting support and guidance from HR.
* Meet customers on a regular basis to update on operational performance to address any issues as and when they arise - implement a formal timetable to meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
* Support the General Manager to ensure the division is operating within all legislative parameters and corporate governance procedures and processes.
* Conduct regular formal FPAL reviews with customers.
* Carry out regular site visits and safety inspections (both planned and unannounced)
* Work collaboratively with HR to ensure that people are hired in accordance with the company’s recruitment and selection policy.
