Altrad is seeking a Process Instrument Design Engineer to join the Silos PFCS Supporting Projects E&I design team. In this role, you will deliver, support, and review instrument design packages to meet safety, functional, and business requirements, ensuring high-quality outcomes across projects.
Key Deliverables
* Develop and deliver instrument design packages in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
* Check and review designs prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and safety.
* Provide technical support to Construction and Commissioning teams as required.
* Mentor and support early career engineers to develop skills and ensure quality delivery.
* Apply and maintain engineering standards and best practices across all design activities.
* Liaise with multi-discipline project teams to ensure design integrity and effective coordination.
* Support the preparation of technical documentation, reports, and design specifications.
* Ensure designs meet safety, functional, and operational requirements.
* Contribute to continual improvement in design processes, methodologies, and team knowledge.
Key Requirements
* HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Security Clearance: SC
* Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working toward chartered status with a recognised engineering institution.
* Minimum 3 years’ proven experience delivering process instrument designs on external multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover.
* Strong working knowledge of relevant engineering standards and best practices applicable to instrument design.
* Experience providing technical support to Construction and Commissioning teams.
* 5+ years’ experience delivering instrument and safety designs on external and/or site-led multidiscipline projects is desirable.
* Familiarity with process instruments, radiometric & special instruments, and safety systems.
