We're looking for a Qualified Management Accountant to join our team in Portsmouth. This is a full time, permanent role working 37 hours per week. We offer a flexible approach to working between home and our Portsmouth office, with a minimum of 20% of this to be office based to promote collaboration and team working.

Here's the facts about the role:
As part of the financial reporting team, you'll provide management and financial accounting to the business. Reporting to a Senior Accountant, you'll support them in the production of monthly accounts packs, KPI data and variance analysis. You'll be responsible for analysing actual performance against budget and co-ordinate detailed outturns, forecasts and budgets with Heads of Service, managers and budget holders. You'll also lead on production of 1/4ly VAT returns for the group and analysis of utility costs each month.
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently as well as working with the team to ensure all deadlines and monthly reporting timetables are met. You'll lead budget review meetings with your budget holders and providing insightful guidance and advice to them in the performance of their business area.
Being a strong team player is crucial, willing to work alongside a team of like-minded outcome focused people, willing to work as directed to deliver a quality financial reporting service.
