Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Kent to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior or Assistant Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, technically strong accountant looking to progress their career within a supportive and professional environment.
The role:
Reporting to the Partner or Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, leading audits and preparing financial statements. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and play an integral role in delivering exceptional client service.
Key responsibilities of the Audit & Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager:
1. Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
2. Preparing statutory accounts for a variety of clients.
3. Reviewing the work of junior staff and providing coaching and guidance.
4. Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
5. Assisting with tax and advisory work where required.
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal Audit & Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager will have:
7. ACA/ACCA qualified, or equivalent.
8. Proven experience in audit and accounts preparation within a practice environment.
9. Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
10. Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
11. Leadership potential and a collaborative approach.
