Room Leaders – Baby Room & Pre-School
Location: Northamptonshire
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time
Salary: £13.50–£14.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Positions Available: 2 (Baby Room Leader & Pre-School Room Leader)
About the Roles
ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd are supporting a vibrant nursery in Northamptonshire in recruiting two passionate Room Leaders for their Baby Room and Pre-School Room.
These are exciting opportunities to create nurturing, engaging environments where young learners can explore, develop, and thrive. As a Room Leader, you'll guide your team in delivering high-quality care and education, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire your room team to deliver exceptional standards of care and education
* Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities in line with EYFS 2025
* Support children's individual needs through tailored care plans, including those with SEND
* Act as Key Person, building strong relationships with families
* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Foster positive behaviour management strategies
* Supervise and mentor junior staff members
* Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure emergency procedures are up to date
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare (UK recognised)
* Health and Social Care qualifications are not recognised by Ofsted
* Proven nursery experience with strong room management and leadership skills
* Sound knowledge of childhood development and EYFS 2025 framework
* Experience with behaviour management in early years settings
* First Aid certification (or willingness to complete – we can arrange training)
* Enhanced DBS check requiredDesirable:
* Experience with infants, toddlers, or children with SEND
* Previous Room Leader or supervisory experience
