Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Children and Young People's Mental Health Service in Knowsley.
We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and support workers who assess, treat and signpost referrals received for children and young people displaying mental health difficulties.
Responsibilities
* Act as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, managing a caseload of clients and ensuring effective communication with internal and external professionals, young people, and families.
* Ensure the effective use of the THRIVE offer within Knowsley.
* Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the specialist service.
* Assess clients for suitability for psychological interventions in line with the specialist psychological model of care; formulate, implement and evaluate therapy programmes for children and young people.
* Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment of children and young people in line with the service, including conveying CBT and other psychological formulations with sensitivity and in easily understood language.
* Adhere to an agreed activity contract regarding the number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out per week, minimising waiting times and ensuring treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient; participate in multidisciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment where appropriate.
* Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service and keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols.
* Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver stepped formulation-driven care and maintain a matched-care approach.
