Position Summary:
Access Services at XR Global (UK) Limited is a leading provider of commercial accessibility services and is seeking an experienced English hard-of-hearing specialist to join the team as a Production Services Specialist. This role is offered on a one-year fixed term to provide maternity cover, with the possibility of extension.
Job Responsibilities:
* Creating English hard-of-hearing subtitles for broadcast, online and cinema
* Organising the creation and delivery of audio description, BSL and foreign-language projects, from the quotation stage to the client deliverables, while maintaining strict quality standards
* Liaising with clients, adapting to short-notice schedule changes, handling media assets, and sourcing and managing freelance linguists
Client Liaision:
* Providing direct support throughout the project cycle
* Communicating project status
* Handling technical issues and linguistic queries
* Ensuring that projects meet expectations
Project Management:
* Assigning, scheduling and supervising accessibility projects
* Sourcing and recruiting linguists
* Analysing media technical specification and content
* Applying quality control to ensure the creation of the highest quality work
Other Associated Duties:
* Liaising with specialist personnel in other XR departments
* Finding solutions to technical and linguistic issues
* Staying up to date with technology developments
* Ensuring all projects are invoiced accurately
Requirements
* Proven experience in production services, operations, or a similar role within a media, accessibility, creative, or technical environment
* Advanced training and hands-on experience with professional subtitling software
* A consistently high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all production outputs
* Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to work effectively with internal and external partners
* Commitment, dedication, and a proactive approach to workload management
* Technical competency with various file formats and the ability to navigate technical documentation
* Flexibility to work within weekly shift patterns
