Senior Consultant – Transformational Procurement
Turner & Townsend – Mid‑Senior level, Full‑time, Consulting – responding to a Procurement Lead, based in Birmingham, England.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced procurement leader to drive transformational procurement programmes for our clients across real estate, infrastructure, energy, and natural resources. The candidate will lead workstreams, design target operating models, embed sustainable procurement, and deliver cost transformation initiatives.
Main Expectations
* Lead and support workstreams on procurement transformation initiatives across multiple sectors.
* Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies aligned with ESG targets.
* Design and roll out procurement target operating models to optimise operations.
* Formulate procurement strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.
* Support development of the Transformational Procurement proposition and thought‑leadership.
* Assist in creating compelling market propositions and client proposals.
Skills
* Strong procurement and supply chain knowledge.
* Established workstream and project management skills.

* Research, evaluation and analytical expertise.
* Story‑boarding and presentation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications
* Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Business Management, or related field.
* Experience in procurement transformation and/or sustainable procurement.
* At least Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply or working towards it.
* SC security clearance (optional).
Experience
* Wide procurement consulting experience (client, contractor, or professional services).
* Proven knowledge of ESG and sustainable procurement practices.
* Track record of delivering transformative procurement projects, cost reduction, and category management.
* Experience leveraging digital tools in procurement transformations.
