Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Planner for a role that we have available with a Tier 1 contractor working on AMP8 framework for Southern Water. The Planner will play a critical role in developing and maintaining robust project programmes for wastewater treatment and water infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation, cost control, and timely delivery. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or similar planning software) for multiple projects under the Southern Water framework. Work closely with Project Managers, Design Managers, and Commercial Teams to ensure programmes are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project objectives. Monitor progress, analyse variances, and provide accurate forecasting for key milestones and deliverables. Produce and present progress reports, critical path analyses, and recovery plans to senior management and the client. Support risk management by identifying potential delays or issues and recommending mitigation strategies. Liaise with procurement and construction teams to integrate supply chain timelines and site activities. Ensure all planning outputs comply with Southern Water’s reporting requirements and framework standards. Contribute to pre-construction planning, tender programmes, and resource loading for future bids. Requirements: Proven experience as a Planner within civil engineering or water sector projects (AMP frameworks desirable). Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment or water infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Strong communication skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Familiarity with NEC contracts and framework delivery models. HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the Southern Water region.
