Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by unloading and loading vans, and sorting dishes & crockery to be returned.
Responsibilities
* Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
* Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
* Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading lorries.
* Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for dispatch.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment.
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management.
* Ensure quality control measures are adhered to during all processes.
* Provide support for mechanical tasks as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge when applicable.
Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with materials handling techniques is advantageous.
* Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment is beneficial.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems will be considered an asset.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control practices.
