About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant primary school in Aylesbury from February 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is enthusiastic about early years education and committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal growth of children, ensuring they meet key milestones within the National Curriculum. You will work alongside a supportive team to create a positive and enriching school experience, helping students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
Inclusive Teaching: Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to ensure all pupils can succeed.
Encouraging Participation: Foster a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident and motivated to learn.
Assessment and Feedback: Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify next steps for learning.
Differentiation: Adapt lessons to support and challenge learners of all abilities.
Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupils’ holistic development.
Parent Communication: Keep parents informed about progress, events, and any concerns.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional learning.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience: Experience teaching Year 2 or within a primary school setting.
Skills: Strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management, and enthusiasm for teaching.
Attributes: A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
