Overview

We are looking for a Cultural Worker with experience supporting children and families to join our Family Link Team. This Turkish-speaking Family Support Worker role helps ensure services are culturally responsive and accessible, strengthening connections with local communities.

The Family Link Team offers social and emotional support from allocated Key Workers who act as a central point of access for families to Noah’s Ark Services, in addition to providing advice, advocacy and emotional support. The Cultural Worker will assess family needs, introduce them to appropriate services, and provide tailored linguistic and cultural support to Turkish-speaking families. You will support families throughout the child’s journey with Noah’s Ark, including, where appropriate, after the child has died. This role will develop and maintain meaningful relationships with culturally diverse communities across North Central London and Hertsmere to keep Noah’s Ark responsive to evolving community needs.


Responsibilities

* Assess family needs and introduce them to appropriate services.
* Provide tailored linguistic and cultural support to Turkish-speaking families.
* Support families throughout the child’s journey with Noah’s Ark, including, where appropriate, after the child has died.
* Develop and maintain relationships with culturally diverse communities across North Central London and Hertsmere.


Qualifications

* Fluent in English and standard Turkish; additional language is an advantage.
* Experience working with children and families from culturally diverse backgrounds in a key worker or family support role.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of sensitivity and confidentiality.
* Good understanding of the needs of children with disabilities and complex conditions; experience in needs assessment and care planning is advantageous.
* Ability to work independently and in a team; experience with inter-professional collaboration across health, education, and social care sectors.
* Awareness of, and willingness to work within, children’s palliative care and bereavement; training will be provided.
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is desirable.
